Terms of Service

SecureLayerHQ is built for small business owners and the MSPs who serve them. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

By using the service you confirm that everything you tell us is true and that you have the right to be making decisions for the business you're protecting.

You can scan any website that you own or that you have permission to scan. That includes:

• Your own business website
• Client websites if you're an MSP or agency authorized to do security work for them
• Personal sites and projects you control

You can't use SecureLayerHQ to:

• Scan websites that don't belong to you without permission
• Try to break into anyone's site, accounts, or systems
• Probe for security holes in sites you intend to attack
• Run automated scripts that hit our service in ways that look like an attack
• Resell our scanner under your own name (the MSP plan covers white-label resale of reports — that's the only authorized form of reselling)

If we suspect you're using the service to do anything illegal or to attack someone else's business, we'll cancel your account and may report the activity to authorities.

The free scanner is limited to 5 scans per IP address per hour. This stops bots from abusing our service. If you need more, the Pro plan removes that limit.

Paid plans (Pro and MSP) are billed monthly through Stripe. The first charge goes through when you subscribe; future charges happen on the same date each month.

You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us. There are no cancellation fees, no contracts, no minimum terms. When you cancel:

• Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for
• We won't charge you again
• Your scan history is kept for 30 days in case you change your mind, then deleted

We don't offer prorated refunds for partial months, but if something legitimately went wrong on our side, email us and we'll make it right.

We do our best to catch common security problems and explain them clearly. But we can't guarantee we'll catch every possible issue. Security is a moving target — new attack methods appear all the time.

Plain English version: SecureLayerHQ is a strong layer of protection, not an unbreakable shield. You should still keep your software updated, use strong passwords, and follow basic security hygiene.

The service is provided "as is". We're not liable for losses that result from security problems we missed, false positives, or downtime on our end. Our maximum liability is limited to whatever you paid us in the previous 12 months.

You're responsible for keeping your account login safe and for everything that happens under your account. If you think someone else got access, change your password and let us know immediately.

You can stop using the service at any time. We can suspend or cancel your account if you break these terms, particularly the "What you can NOT use the scanner for" section above.

If we update these terms in a meaningful way, we'll email everyone with a paid plan and post a clear notice on the site at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Secure Layer HQ LLC

Secure Layer HQ LLC provides a customer recovery service for small businesses: a receptionist that answers their calls, review requests, and Google listing management. When you opt in to text messages from us you can expect: replies to a request you made, confirmations, appointment and callback reminders, account and service notifications, your 7-day phone test report, and, only if you separately opt in to marketing messages, occasional special offers and product updates.

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to (832) 862-8610. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies based on your activity with us. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration (small claims court is fine too).
